This book presents a blueprint for a viable drug policy. The author argues that the full range of alternatives to current U.S. drug policy should be studied and debated, as was the case with alcohol policy in the early 20th century. He joins many distinguished personalities, including the late Milton Friedman, Economics Nobel Prize winner, William F. Buckley, Jr., founder of the National Review, and Walter Cronkite, award-winning journalist, in calling for a discussion of alternatives as an essential part of the transition from drug prohibition to regulation in the 21st century.
