Signal transduction through lymphocyte receptors involvesa variety of signaling molecules including kinases and phosphatases, adapter proteins, small GTPases and GTP exchange factors, as well as membrane phospholipids. Such signaling events may lead to cellular differentiation and growth, effector cell functions, and/or apoptotic cell death. This is the third workshop on this topic that has taken place in Crete from May 27 to June 1, 2005. Similar to the two previous workshops, held in Santorini October 2000 and 2002 respectively, the purpose of this workshop is to bring together scientists from allover the world to discuss their latest findings on the various aspects of lymphocyte signal transduction. This limited participation workshop will take place in a venue where the surroundings are most conducive to scientific interchange through lecture presentations, poster sessions, and informal discussions.
