This unusual book will delight pet lovers with its quirky text and beautiful black and white drawings by Anthony Henderson Euwer. Diverse poems and humourous, nonsense observations are written in the vernacular. Many of the earliest children's books, particularly those dating back to the 1900s and before, are now extremely scarce and increasingly expensive. Pook Press are working to republish these classic works in affordable, high quality editions, using the original text and artwork so these works can delight another generation of children. About the Author and Illustrator: Anthony Euwer (1877-1955) was an American painter and illustrator who studied at the Art Students League in New York. He travelled to the Orient where he was influenced by Japanese art and the work of Aubrey Beardsley.
