Brigadier General (retired) Anthony Hurtle said that "Persons of strong character are the ultimate resource for any military organization" and I believe it. Regrettably, I believe few others do. The Air Force does an admirable job building good airmen capable of fighting wars. But it does surprisingly little to build good people capable of fighting wars honorably. How is America's youth forming their values in today's world? And correspondingly what kind of young people are entering today's Air Force? And what are we doing to strengthen those young ethical foundations to prepare them to fight and win the next war?
