Communication is the medium through which managers lead, direct others, harness creativity, control operations and respond to the wants and needs of both those who work within the organization and those who use the organization's products or services. Thus when blockages in communication occur, they can have a far-reaching effect. This collection of trainer-led activities is designed to help participants to understand the different types of communication and their importance for the organization and its people. Each activity contains all the materials the trainer needs to run the event, including, where appropriate: trainer notes; activity objectives; summary sheets for post-activity discussion; handouts for participants; OHP masters; suggested timings.
